I've been to the Rose and Crown many times for lunch as they do really good deals on food. It's a great place for a Friday pint, and a way to make sure you have something to eat as well. Always quite busy but never over crowded.

$4.50 happy hour 3pm 'til 7pm + many bar specials at other times.

Big pub menu from soups to pizzas available at ALL hours Pool - Coffee - DJs - Gambling Lounge - lots of magazines to read if you do not feel like talking to the girls from every country that one usually finds in the venue.

Great sofas to sit on & a nice fire place for the cold winter nights

Private function room available for corporate and private bookings.

Great place for dinner, lunch, the odd "quiet one" with colleagues or friends or randoms you've just met. Usually draws a good crowd at night, more for sports events, and a steady stream of people during the day.

Mostly modern music is played, pop/hip hop/rock kinda stuff, with a bit of 90's goodness thrown in just for reminiscing.

Not a huge floor downstairs so fairly compact and not echoey, comfy seats and good lighting - would make a great "regular" (what's the pub version of Central Perk??). Bar staff are friendly and efficient, easy to strike up a conversation with if you're feeling chatty.

Definitely not a flash pub, but comfortable and easy to like.
